At Robert M. Kelso Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, many of our patients come from communities throughout the West Knoxville, TN area, including Riverbend, Westmoreland, Sequoya Hills, West Hills, Whittington Creek, Rocky Hill, Farragut, Kensington, North Knoxville and South Knoxville.
Our dental office is not visible from the main street and has a private, quiet quality about it, though it is conveniently located off Interstate 40 and the Papermill exit.
In addition, we’re just right down the road from Krispy Kreme, Burger King, Walgreens and Bistro By The Tracks. Because of our convenient location just off North Shore and Kingston Pike, many of our patients visit us on their lunch break and return to the office with the brightest smile in the room.

Home of several of our favorite restaurants, Market Square also hosts many local festivals and outdoor entertainment options. In the winter tourists and locals alike can enjoy the outdoor skating rink! In springtime the Dogwood Arts Festival is a must-see and in the summer you can't miss the Chalk Walk on the Square where hundreds of artists create amazing artwork right on the sidewalk! Movies in the square are common in the summer months, making for an ideal outing for the entire family.

After years of development, World's Fair Park is now one of our favorites in Knoxville. The huge pond creates a waterfall effect near the convention center while families can enjoy the green space to walk, play and enjoy the outdoors. Visitors can also enjoy a free ride up to the Observation Tower in the Sunsphere to see the University of Tennessee, World's Fair Park, Tennessee River and more!
- Tennessee Theatre
Located in the heart of downtown Knoxville, the Tennessee Theatre has been open since 1928. It's the official State Theatre of Tennessee listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Enjoy amazing art deco style and crystal chandeliers while you watch Broadway shows and musical events!
One of the most unique experiences in Knoxville, this tree-based adventure park is located at Ijams Nature Center. They've taken the very best components of a self-guided aerial adventure park and built it in and among the trees! As the most visited national park in the United States, the Great Smoky National Park is one of Knoxville's natural treasures. The name might sound odd, but Soccer Taco is one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants. Just right down the street from our office on Kingston Pike, you can't beat their Eagle Burrito Cheese Steak or Big League Fajitas.
The Tomato Head on Market Square in Knoxville is a family favorite for good reason! Experience fresh cuisine in a friendly neighborhood atmosphere and make sure to try the Oh Boy Sandwich or one of their many gluten-free options!
If you're looking for amazing hibachi, be sure to stop in at Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse on Major Reynolds Place. If sushi is what you're craving, you can't go wrong with their TNT Roll or the Angel Roll!
